GLENN E. BECKMANN

Glenn E. Beckmann, Director of Marketing Communications, manages the expression of Schutt Sports brand and products in all marketing, sales, advertising and public relations across multiple vertical product lines and in all communications channels.

He directs the development and roll out of all marketing communications content for Schutt’s baseball, football and softball product lines for multi-tiered markets, from professional to college, high school and youth, including catalogs, sales materials, web site, web store, social media and news releases. In this role he has comprehensive knowledge of the research, development, testing, manufacturing and distribution of all Schutt products and guides them through branding, marketing and merchandising programs.

Mr. Beckmann serves as primary media contact for the company and develops and manages the communications strategy and content for Schutt public relations programs. He serves as company liaison for key internal and external stakeholders, including sales, customer service, product development, sports marketing, R&D and major licensing partners.

Since joining Schutt in 2007 Mr. Beckmann has spearheaded critical initiatives including:

  • Targeted promotions in support of national sales

  • Branding and design of all new electronic and digital assets including website, ecommerce and social media

  • Reimagined and redesigned retail packaging for a cohesive brand statement and increased effectiveness in major retail outlets

  • Collaborated with the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the development of the HEADS UP Concussion mobile app to educate consumers about concussion and proper helmet fit, safety and care through a 3D helmet fit feature. 

Prior to his position at Schutt Sports, Mr. Beckmann served as Director of Advertising and Public Relations for the Highland Supply Corporation, a leading manufacturer of floral, gift basket and decorative packaging.

Mr. Beckmann received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications, with emphasis on Journalism and Marketing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He is a member of the Business Marketing Association, St. Louis, Chapter.
